Our Favorite St. Patrick's Day Cocktail - The Irish Maid

It’s mid March, and as-is usual for this time of year, we’re thinking about Irish whiskeys and cocktails, because for us, the Gunness-whiskey slammer, well, it’s just not that good. Instead, we’ll be reaching for an Irish Maid this St. Patrick’s day. It’s easily one of our favorite cocktails featuring a whiskey from across the pond.

The Irish Maid is a sublime blend of the rich, hearty essence of Irish whiskey, the delicate, floral notes of elderflower liqueur, and the brightness of fresh squeezed lemon juice. Garnished with a crisp cucumber, the Irish Maid is refreshing without straying too far from its whiskey base liquor.

The beauty of the Irish Maid lies not only in its delightful taste but also in its versatility. Perfect for adding a sophisticated touch to your St. Patrick's Day celebrations, for a sunny spring afternoon in the garden, or a cozy autumn evening by the fireplace, it effortlessly adapts to the mood and setting. Whether you're toasting to good health with friends or savoring a quiet moment of solitude, the Irish Maid offers a sip of tranquility and a taste of the lush Irish countryside.

Made with relatively simple ingredients you’ll likely have at hand, the Irish Maid is an excellent cocktail to mix for your High Camp Firelight Flask® as you prepare to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and well beyond.
