Elevating the Wine Experience: The High Camp Flasks x Mount Veeder Winery™ Partnership

A Partnership Built on Trust & Craftsmanship

At High Camp Flasks, we don’t take shortcuts when it comes to preserving the integrity of craft beverages. When Mount Veeder Winery™ approached us about a collaboration, we knew we had to meet the high standards of their Master Sommelier Jason Smith.

Before agreeing to the partnership, Jason had one requirement—he needed to test Mount Veeder wine in the Parkside Flask™ to ensure it didn’t alter the flavor.

“The worst thing would be setting up a partnership and be like, wow, this actually makes the wine taste bad. After testing the Parkside Flask, my impression was the wine is no different, and that was exactly what we were looking for.” – Jason Smith

His verdict? The Parkside Flask™ delivered the wine exactly as it was meant to taste—no metallic interference, no compromise. That’s what makes this partnership special.

Now, Mount Veeder wine lovers can enjoy their favorite vintages beyond the tasting room, whether they’re on a hike, at a beach, or simply gathering with friends in the backyard.

A Custom Collaboration

To celebrate this partnership, we worked with Mount Veeder Winery to create a custom-engraved Parkside Flask™ featuring their logo, designed to reflect the craftsmanship and character of their wines.

Each flask is paired with a bottle of their 2022 Mount Veeder Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley, making it the ultimate gift for wine lovers who want to take their experience beyond the dining table.

Why Mount Veeder Winery?

Since 1973, Mount Veeder Winery has been crafting wines that embody the wild, adventurous spirit of Napa Valley. Their vineyards sit 1,500 feet above the valley floor, producing wines with bold structure, intense concentration, and age-worthy complexity.

“We spend years in the vineyard, the wine spends years inside the winery. The worst thing that could be to us is at the very end point when somebody is about to put it to their lips, that they drink it out of a plastic cup or something that doesn’t truly deliver all the effort that we put into it.” – Jason Smith

That’s why they partnered with High Camp Flasks—to ensure that every sip of Mount Veeder wine is experienced as intended, no matter the setting.

Who is Jason Smith, MS?

As General Manager of Mount Veeder Winery, Jason Smith isn’t just a wine expert—he’s a Master Sommelier, a title held by fewer than 200 people in North America.

His career began at The Culinary Institute of America, where a required wine course changed his trajectory from chef to sommelier. Since passing the Master Sommelier exam in 2005, Jason has led some of the most prestigious wine programs in the world, including:

  • Charlie Trotter’s (Chicago) – One of the world’s most acclaimed restaurants
  • The Little Nell (Aspen) – A Mobil Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond destination
  • MGM Resorts (Las Vegas) – Where he oversaw wine programs for 20 luxury resorts

With a Wine Director of the Year award from Wine Enthusiast and features in publications like Wine Spectator, Cigar Aficionado, and FOOD & WINE, Jason is not only a respected leader in the industry but also an advocate for making wine more accessible and enjoyable in any setting.

“To me, wine is fun and I want people to enjoy wine wherever they would like to enjoy it. It doesn’t always need to be in this fancy restaurant with something over the top and a stuffy sommelier standing in the corner.” – Jason Smith

Why Stainless Steel Matters: Not All Flasks Are Created Equal

Many brands use cheaper stainless steel that can alter wine’s taste, leading to metallic flavors or flavor retention from previous pours. We don’t.

The Parkside Flask™ is crafted with the same sommelier-grade stainless steel used in the wine-making process—the same material trusted in fermentation tanks at Mount Veeder Winery.

“When Mount Veeder grapes are harvested, the first thing that they do when they come into the winery is start their fermentation process in stainless steel tanks. But it’s important to have high-quality products through the entire point of production, and then also right to when it’s going to be hitting your lips.” – Jason Smith

Designed for Wine Lovers to Enjoy their Wine Anywhere

  • Vacuum insulation that keeps wine at the perfect temperature for up to 24 hours
  • Magnetically integrated stemless wine tumblers, making it easy to pour and share
  • Design for effortless filling—no corkscrew needed
  • Shatterproof, portable design that replaces fragile glassware

“I also enjoy using the Parkside Flask when I’m going over to a backyard barbecue or a friend’s house. Rather than having the bottle of wine warm up in my car, the Parkside Flask is insulated, so it keeps the wine at the perfect temperature to serve it.” – Jason Smith
