Recipe #1: Batch Coin-Style Margarita
Planning a National Margarita Day gathering or heading out for a group hike? This Batch "Coin-Style" Margarita is designed to fill your Firelight Flask, making it easy to share the love. The "Coin-Style" refers to using both fresh-squeezed lime and orange juice, and no sugary mixers, a classic and refreshing twist.
We feel like this is a "go-to" recipe, a crowd pleaser. It's one you might keep in your back pocket for any occasion. You'll notice a bit of soda water in this recipe, yes, it's ok to have a small amount of carbonation in our flasks. It's also super easy to swap the soda water with a fresh 100% juice (we love Mango, or Guava Jumex). This is an amazing "base" margarita recipe that's perfectly sized for our flask. Feel free to play around.
Ingredients (Scaled for the Firelight Flask):
- 9 oz Reposado Tequila
- 4 oz Cointreau
- 6-8 Limes - Juiced
- 1-2 Oranges - Juiced
- 2 oz Agave Nectar
- Splash of Soda Water
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients (except soda water) in a pitcher with ice
- Stir well to combine.
- Carefully pour the mixture into your Firelight Flask. Thanks to the wide mouth, you can include some of the ice in your flask.
- Top off the flask with a small amount of soda water. It should only be a few extra ounces. Mix gently by sealing the flask and rotating it.
- Cheers to easy, delicious, 100% natural margaritas!
Why Our Firelight Flask Works Great For This Recipe: Forget lugging around bottles and mixers. The Firelight Flask 750 allows you to transport your perfectly batched margaritas with ease, keeping them cold and ready to pour. It's the ultimate solution for sharing your favorite cocktails on any adventure.
1. The "Un-Beet-Able" Margarita: A Margarita with a Twist
This isn't your average margarita. The "Un-Beet-able" Margarita offers a surprising twist with the earthy sweetness of fresh beet juice, balanced by the classic citrus kick and a touch of spicy heat. It's vibrant, unexpected, and absolutely delicious.
We've sized this recipe for use in one of our Firelight Tumblers. It's an elevated cocktail you can pour at a backyard BBQ or patio get together. If you want to size it up for a Firelight Flask or Parkside Flask, you can roughly scale up the recipe 5 times. Though you might add a little more lime and beet juice and a little less hot chili simple syrup.
Ingredients (Scaled for One Drink in Firelight Tumbler):
- 1.5 oz Suerte Blanco Tequila
- 1 oz Fresh Beet Juice (freshly squeezed is best!)
- 0.25 oz Triple Sec
- 0.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 0.5 oz Hot Chili Infused Simple Syrup* (Recipe below)
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice.
- Shake well until chilled.
- Strain into a chilled glass (a coupe or rocks glass works well) with or without ice.
- Garnish with a lime wheel or Beet Slice.
- Sip and savor the unique flavor!
*Hot Chili Infused Simple Syrup: Combine equal parts water and sugar in a saucepan. Add a sliced chili pepper (jalapeno, serrano, or habanero depending on your spice preference). Bring to a simmer, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let steep for at least 30 minutes (or longer for a spicier syrup). Strain and store in the refrigerator.
Why we love it on the go: The complex flavor profile makes this a margarita that everyone will want to try and with a High Camp Flask you can be sure that it will stay fresh and delicious.
2. Peaches & Cream Margarita: A Sweet Sip for Any Occasion
For those with a sweet tooth, our Peaches & Cream Margarita is creamy, indulgent, and surprisingly satisfying – even in cold weather! Who says you can't enjoy a winter marg? Make it on the rocks or blended, then fill up your Firelight Flask for your next adventure, winter or summer.
Ingredients (Scaled for the Firelight Flask):
- 8 oz peach puree*
- 6 oz tequila
- 3 oz Triple Sec orange
- 2 tsp lime juice
- 3 oz coconut cream
- 1.5 oz warm honey
- Ice & frozen peaches as desired!
Directions:
- Add peach puree, tequila, Triple Sec orange, lime juice, coconut cream, and warm honey into a cocktail shaker or pitcher with ices
- Shake or stir well until chilled. Alternatively, you can blend the mix for a frozen treat.
- If making this on the rocks, add a few ice cubes to your Firelight Flask and strain all ingredients into the flask. If you made a blended version, just pour directly from the blender into the flask.
- Add a few frozen peaches to the flask as garnish.
*Peach puree: Combine 1 cup frozen peaches and 1/2 cup water in blender. Blend until smooth.
Why it’s perfect with a High Camp Flask: Because our flasks are vacuum-insulated, this cocktail stays icy cold for hours, even blended! Imagine enjoying this creamy, peach-flavored margarita while hitting the slopes or relaxing by the lake. The Peaches & Cream Margarita is a unique and refreshing treat, perfect for any adventure.
